Went for a quick weekend getaway at kukup over the weekends. it was GRRRREAT!! =D
had fun fishing, playing with fireworks and mini explosives (we totally behaved like idiots), EATING (i swear i'm going on a diet starting from today), singing k, telling bedtime stories (omg wc is really asking for a beating), and basically just chilling out.
the BBQ dinner was oh-my-god-out-of-this-world!! nothing can beat it.

sometimes, as humans, we tend to overlook the way we behave, especially among our close friends. we assume we can say anything that comes to our mind and others wont be offended. but many times, we're wrong. and that is one of my biggest weakness - i tend to speak without thinking.
after coming back from kukup, i was really dead beat. and i really didnt know what i was doing after i reached hall. i wanted to go to sleep immediately after printing my notes. in my tiredness and hurry, i said something to my friend in a msn conversation. to me, it wasn't in a negative tone but i guess in msn, due to the lack of tone, my friend interpreted my message wrongly. and things turned out the way i didnt expect it to be.
i know unsensitive means unsensitive, using tiredness as an excuse wont solve matters. i've already apologised to my friend, and i hope things can get better.

I'm rushing to do powerpoint slides for a presentation on the topic 'blogging' now. And in the midst of it, I had a sudden urge to blog.Just a short one becos I'M RUSHING. lol!I was just thinking about the books Sold and Marley and Me. Was comparing them in my mind.One is about a girl who is the dream child of so many mothers - sweet and filial, obedient, independent, loves her mother, never rebelious and would never do anything to hurt or disappoint her mother.The other is about the worst dog in the world - crazy, utterly ridiculous, drives his owners mad, never ever listens to instructions, disatrous and extremely destructive.One is a human, the other is a dog.She gets the worst treatment in the world; she is hated by her own mother.He is the king in the household; his owners love him.No one sympathizes with her. Everyone she met in her life cheated her, took advantage of her, abused her. Marley and Me made me teared so much. Been a long time since a movie touched me to this extent. I really loved how the movie reflected the book - the laugh-out-loud parts, the scenes that really warm your heart, and the emotional parts. Although the script left out many details that were in the book, its essence is still there. Both dog-owners and non-owners alike could fully feel how much love a dog can give you - pure and wholehearted love, with no motives whatsoever.
Pets may look cute and dumb, they may irritate you all day, they may be frustrating animals to take care of. But at the end of the day, they are the ones who are the truest. They are nature's way of completing our lives.
