my new blog@1:37 AM

sometimes, when i'm bored or when i simply have nothing to do (FB is getting boring!), i surf fashion blogs or photography websites to look at pretty pictures.

they're taken by really talented photographers and each one of the pictures expresses different emotions and clearly (sometimes unclearly) reflects what the photographer wants to portray. i think they're really amazing.

I've therefore created another blog so that I am able to keep all my favourite photographers, fashion blogs, art blogs and anything that I admire in that little space, and hopefully, share these beautiful work of art with all of you. Link below:

@4:37 PM

just painted my nails. both fingers and toes.
did nail art too.
feeling so shiok.
not that i'm a nails-person. i wouldnt spend money going for manicures/pedicures, or feeling down becos my nails are cui.
its just that having my nails painted by myself after so so long makes me feel that I'm loving myself and taking care of myself. I feel pampered, polished and feminine.

HAHA!

ok la I know some ppl will go "crap!" or "sam pat!".
the truth is that my bottles of nail polishes have been sitting there for waaaay too long and i'm afraid that they will spoil if i dun use them so I decided not to waste them and paint my nails since I have the time today even thou there's schoolwork waiting to do done but i dun care.

no thats not the truth, im kidding.

@9:54 PM

Came across the blog below while i was surfing for information to complement what I've learnt during the Bt Timah Field Trip for my Plant Biology module.

http://wondercreation.blogspot.com/

We should really treasure the ecology we have in tropical Singapore and start learning and/or acting on how to conserve our flora and fauna. Plants really amaze me, in all sorts of wonderful ways. I guess I've found a module which I REALLY like.

***
Found an insect nest next to my door this afternoon. About 3 cm wide, 4.5 cm in length. Build of soil with a round opening at the top. Initially did not take much notice of it until my neighbour told me that a large flying insect kept flying back to this block of soil. The moment she told me, the insect came back and stuck its head into the opening and stayed there for quite some time. At this moment, I realised, there must be something inside!! Her babies??

Ok i got to do something, right? So when mummy insect was away, I splashed water on the nest, hoping that the sand-block would collapse by itself. Eh...it stayed intact leh. Damn, mummy can really build good homes! Second strategy, gotta hit the nest and break it. OF COURSE I wouldnt use my hands la. I hum ji one. I used the McDonalds' Apple Pie box (wee keat bought apple pie for me. yay!) and tried to pry the nest open.

A portion at the top fell off.

WAIT! Did I see something green and long in there?

AND ITS MOVING! WTF!

Now, I'm really hum ji. Better return to my room and call wee keat for SOS. msn-ed him, he doesnt want to come, says he's lazy. huh...? like that ah....ok lor I'll pester him again later.
Awhile later, I opened my door and peered out. Mummy fly is back! She's (or It's?) busy doing something to her nest. Maybe she's trying to save her home? Aiya, dont care la, I go back into my room lest she finds out I'm the one who drowned her home and she gets a bunch of other mummy flies to come attack me.

Some time later, open my door again and GUESS WHAT I SAW? A long, thin, GREEN worm hanging out of the nest. OHMYGOODNESSWHATTHEHECKITSSUPERDAMNGROSS! Then I looked down on the floor and saw TWO MORE worms (abt 2 cm long) lying there. EVENMOREFREAKINGGROSSISWEAR! They're dead I guess but I can't be bothered to check cos its making me sick and I can't bear to take a second look at them.

Went back to my room and jieying asked if I wanted to go out for dinner. Asked wee keat if he wants to go and he's okay. HAH good way to get him to come up and settle the worms for me. When he's outside, I showed him the worms on the floor. (yea they're really dead cos they're still in the same position.) Passed him the apple pie box and he began to sweep the nest off the wall while I began to scream non-stop. I thought there was only three worms and nothing left. But I was wrong, very wrong.

There were FIVE TO SIX WORMS IN TOTAL. Gross? Extremely. All long, thin and green. And all dead. I guess I drowned them. Oops.

Wee keat was pissed off by my screaming (it was uncontrollable can, imagine the horror unfolding in front of my eyes?) and left the worms on the corridor. Whatthehell people might just step on them and squash them! Eeee dont even want to imagine the scene! I had to ask him to sweep them into the side-drain. He swept them in, and now they're there. I hope the cleaner aunty faster come back and clear them away! Or some birds come along to eat them up! It's eerie to know they're outside my room.

Fyi, we went to have dinner after that episode. With him calling me useless, stupid, brainless, bimbo all the way from hall 13 to quad. Ok lor let him scold since he help me clear the worms. Let him boost his ego a bit. :P And yep, I could still swallow my dinner. Worms are disgusting but they do not affect my appetite. Haha!

Talk about loving and conserving nature at the start of the post, hahahahha. Worms cannot la. To me, cannot. I really DO NOT LIKE worms. I like plants and nature and animals but not insects. Repeat, I do NOT like worms. *shrieks*

@1:40 AM

In today's world, we try to meet as many people as we can at one go.
We think this saves time, money and effort.

If one of the members is unable to meet up, we postpone the meeting.
We think by going ahead without the full group, we waste time, money and effort.

Only when there is a special occasion, such as a birthday, do we bother to arrange meeting up.
We think we are too busy to spend time, money and effort on random meetups.

I dont deny that i am one of the 'We', but at the same time, if catching-up has evolved to be like this, I'm afraid I will lose the emotional touch with my friends one by one.
