On friday my dad brough me to Sentosa Cove again. He has a couple of projects there and his workers happen to be working OT that friday, so he had to go pick them up after picking his precious daughter (ahem, me) up from hall.
I always love going into Sentosa Cove (but definitely not sitting in the lorry). Outside vivo, i start to see lots of people walking in the direction towards St. James, mostly OLs. Then outside St. James, there'd be lots of cars waiting to enter the carpark, causing a jam which irritated me. Everytime we went pass St James, my dad would ask me if i've been there and i always tell him nope. That friday, dad asked me AGAIN and i said "my friends told me St James is for uncles" and he started to laugh real loud and told me maybe its becos of the chinese bar. Hmm...i wonder if dad has been there with his uncle friends? LOL!
At the sentosa entrance, dad would flash his unlimited one-day-entry receipt to the young girl/boy sitting comfortably in their air-con counter and they would just nod their head to acknowledge. Honestly, i dont think they can actually see whats on the receipt since the distance is so far away. They just dont give a damn i think. The next time i go into Sentosa with dad again, i'm going to flash the receipt (for my earrings purchase) and see whether they let us pass. *evil grin*
On the way towards Sentosa Cove, there'd be blangahs walking along the pavements and the moment they see lorries passing by, they would wave their arms as if they're hailing a cab, hoping that the lorries would stop and give them a lift. My dad says they're quite poor thing cos their contractors make them stay at the site and that results in alot of inconvenience for them. They have to walk damnnnnn long to get out of Sentosa to buy their supplies and damnnnnnn long to get back to their site. Its a freaking long way i swear so some are smarter and rode bicycles, but the slopey roads dont make their journey any much easier. Sometimes, my dad would be a nice man and give them a lift but thats before confirming where's their site or else they have to take a detour which is even further. This happened on friday which made me L.O.L: Dad: where you going? Blangah: sendosa go D: i know sentosa la, we in sentosa now. but where? B: sendosa go D: (still doesnt realise that he's saying 'sentosa cove' while i'm giggling away) ya lah. sentosa la. is it sentosa cove? B: yaya. sendosa go. D: (super confused look) so later inside turn left or turn right? (dad even points his hand in the left and right direction) B: yaya. (nods his head furiously) sendosa go. D: (give-up look) ok ok. go up. When they were behind, dad asked me "veron, so where are they going?" and i just kept laughing and laughing. omg!! the two blangahs damn funny la! they just dun answer any question. but finally they reached their destination cos when dad was about to turn into the right lane of Sentosa Cove, they hit the sides of the lorry to indicate they wanted to get down as their site is on the left. they looked very grateful when they alighted. haha. funny ppl.
Dad never brough me to tour the inside inside areas before, but that night he did cos his workers were not ready yet. The bangalows inside are W-O-W: super posh, super high-class and ENORMOUS! Because there's a security barrier at the entrance of Sentosa Cove, all the bangalows inside adopt the open-front yard concept, meaning there's no fencings or walls around each bangalow. So you can actually walk right up to the front door. And the cars they park outside: Porche, Ferrari, Lamborghini. gosh. walao there's this family which has Lamborghinis in different colours and all of the same number. I WANT TO KNOW HIS SON!!!!
The designs of the bangalows are reeeeeally beautiful. You can actually look into the interior of the house cos the walls are mainly glass. Hmm...very classy but abit no privacy i feel. And there's this unit which has an above-ground pool. so cool! the sides of the pool is made of glass so you can actually see the people swimming inside.
Then my dad drove pass this house which really caught my eyes from afar. Its actually on another 'island' (yes, sentosa cove is divided into many islands). That house is humongous!! i think the owner bought 2 units. The side of the house which was facing me is made of glass entirely and every single room is lit, which made the house look really beautiful! Talk about conserving energy man. lol. The dining room is painted white and there's a super long dining table with white table cloth like those which Kings and Queens dine at. There was very little furnishing which put the main attention on the dining table. Empty but classy nonetheless. How very beautiful...
The best thing about the bangalows: each and every one of the bangalow has its own private jetty where they can park their yacht! its just situated behind the house! so they can sail out to sea anytime they want. did i mention tthat they have a full sea view? heavenly... imagine parking ur car in front and ur yacht behind. and imagine fetching your frens to your house on your yacht! ahhhhhhhh...so cool!!!
The area was very quiet and peaceful at night and i was so thrilled that i cant help but stick my head out of the window and shout "SO COOL!!!!!" hahahhaa...lucky no one threw eggs at me =P
Anyway, single and eligible ladies out there, if you're looking for sugar daddys or extravagant boyfriends, try disguising as a maid and sneak into Sentosa Cove. take a stroll around and if you're lucky, maybe someone will pick you up in his Porche! lol...
For hopeful guys, you can always disguise as a blangah worker and hitch a ride in!!
{until tomorrow}
